Personal Introduction:
My name is Mckenna Johnson, and I am a college student at Black Hills State University. I am currently a sophomore studying business administration with specializations in marketing and economics. My hometown is Laurel, Montana which is a small town known for its railroad systems. That’s how my high school came up with our mascot as the locomotives. Throughout high school I competed in volleyball and track while also being a part of the National Honors Society. These years set me up for my college years, and I am very happy at where I am today. In my free time I like to read books, hang out with friends, and spend time outdoors.
Passion for Digital Marketing:
My passion for digital marketing sparked during my junior year of high school. I had taken a graphic design class and really enjoyed creating different images. From there, the thought of digital marketing sparked my interest, and I continued to create things my mind thought of. As the years went by, my family members began asking me to create different things for them which only increased my passion more. I am excited to share this passion and love for digital marketing with you all!

-Academic lettering: Maintaining above a 3.5 GPA.
-Athletic lettering: Maintaining varsity playing time.
-Most inspirational: Given to me for showing up for others, encouraging others, and providing someone to look up to in sports.
National Honors Society: Joined this society for my good grades which allowed me to help volunteer for different organizations around Laurel, MT.
BHSU acceptance: Accepted to Black Hills State University to complete a four year degree, and was given different scholarships to help aid my finances.
Professional Goals:
Short term goals include:
-Completing my second semester of my sophomore year of college.
-Work a summer internship in Arizona targeted around marketing research.
-Begin My junior year of college.
Long term goals include:
-Graduate college with a degree in business administration, with specializations in marketing and economics, and certificates in management and social media.
-Begin a career in marketing research in South Dakota, Arizona, or Colorado.
Industries of Interest:
I am mainly interested in the marketing research industry. I really like the concept of analyzing data and interpreting the data to track trends, markets, competitors, etc. Other industries I’m interested in are public relations, marketing management, and many more.
